As a Business Development, (Public Sector/Institutions), you will
Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, bidding opportunity target, and develop new business opportunities at institutional (European and/or Spanish) level.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers from public admistration. Build long-term partnerships by understanding their needs and delivering value-added solutions.
- Creates and leads advanced solution presentations to match identified customer needs using the company's products & services. Identifies Multiverse Computing's advantages and positions Multiverse Computing’s products and services as superior to competitive offerings.
- Coordinate the offer/bid/proposal as well as the required bid preparation documents, to ensure all aspects of each proposal drafting are addressed efficiently
- Support the contract/grant agreement negotiation and signature phases and execute bid handover to the technical team afterwards.
- Effectively contributes to all stages of the sales process.
- Facilitates communication with the sales and technical team for updates on product capabilities, success stories and winning strategies.
- Participates in industry shows and conventions.
- Coordinates and organises technical support for demos, PoCs, support of evaluation, training etc.
- Provides client feedback to product development and marketing staff.
Required Qualifications
- Education: M.Sc./degree in sciences, engineering or similar
- 10+ years for Business development experience with a proven track record of success, exceeding required sales quota. 2+ years Business development experience in selling engineering technology applications to the public institutions.
- Experience of creating winning proposals for ESA, EC, CDTI, and/or private customers.
- Knowledge of the European/Spanish tendering and contracting processes
- The position requires a self-starter that operates with a minimum level of oversite to personally execute and achieve the Sales Team's goals in the Public sector/ institutions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and strong personal networking skills with exposure to executive and leadership levels.
- Ability to foster collaboration with the team and other functional teams (DEV, Marketing, PM etc.) & coordination with personnel distributed across multiple global sites.
- Aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine appropriate solutions for customers.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Travel: up to 50%
